Come and enjoy a night with your community at our annual major fund raiser, Dinner on the Mount. This is always a fabulous evening with great food and even better company! Contact Jane now and hope to see you all there. All details below:
Friday, 26th of January - 9 am: Australia Day Breakfast.
Join us at this free event on the mount. Bring your food and drinks and lets enjoy this day together. Coffee and tea will of course will be provided, as well as access to the hall’s BBQ facilities.
Come and say g’day to your neighbours!
Saturday 2nd of December, 2023: Christmas on the Mount!
Join us from 6pm onwards for our last event of the year. BYO food & drinks and prepare to meet Santa!
This is a free event open to all, and your chance to meet your new committee members. Come have a chat and enjoy an evening of celebration and community.
Friday 1st of September, 2023: Light up the Mount!
Potluck Casserole ‘80s Dance Night with a tribute to a local member of our community.
We invite you to join us at the Mount Eccles Hall as we celebrate the restoration works completed so far. Please feel free to dress up like it’s 1985!
Bring a casserole or dessert to share, tea and coffee provided.
BYO drinks & glasses $10pp payable at the door (EFTPOS available), children under 12 free

It promises to be an incredibly entertaining evening filled with fine food catered by resident Brent Sinclair, with salads and desserts to share and, an opportunity to dance! BARN DANCE
Dear Friends of the Hall,
Our next function on Saturday 17th September will be one to dance away the winter blues and bring on some spring energy. Put on your best boots and ye haw outfits, as we'll have DJ Marco bringing the beats and Dance Master Halla guiding the feets.
The Mount Eccles Hall 'Barn Dance' made possible and generously supported by the South Gippsland Shire Council with the 'Community Gathering Contribution' fund. Usual BYO nibbles/drinks. Tea / Coffee provided.
Bring your family/neighbour/ friend for a fun time at the hall next Saturday!

Did you ever wonder about the history of your property? Maybe you wanted to know who lived there previously? Or, maybe you thought your street name had a special meaning!
Well, wonder no more! Coming up in our next Zoom session, we have local historian & writer Pat Spinks ready to unlock the secrets of our area! All you have to do is email her prior to the evening, (by no later than August 12th) and then join us either via Zoom, or at the hall on Monday 29th of August!

Celebrating 90 years of the ABC
For the past 90 years, the ABC has been part of the fabric of Australian life since it was founded on the 1st July 1932.
To celebrate this milestone, the Mount Eccles Hall committee invite you to join us for a special slice of ‘Mount Eccles Hall - ABC 90th anniversary’ cake, made and decorated by local graphic designer, Teresa Saviane, 5pm next Wednesday 29 June at Mount Eccles Hall.
An article with photos of how our community celebrated this event will be emailed to the ABC in recognition of their role in keeping regional communities informed and entertained.
Look forward to seeing you as we celebrate this special occasion!

Jingle and mingle, be merry and bright, join us in welcoming Santa that night!
Bring your family & friends and celebrate Christmas with your community in the Hall.
Join us for a night of merriment, mirth, music & memorable moments. BYO drinks & food. BBQ available. Tea, and coffee will be provided, as will lollies for the children.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT.
Christmas hamper raffle will also be drawn, so ensure you bring cash & make sure you're in it to win it!

With the summer fire season approaching, it’s time to think about fire safety. Geoff Conway, Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DEWLP) and Ron Holt, CFA Brigade Captain will talk about preparing your property, and the fire season outlook.
